Mathematics Anxiety and its Relationship with Mathematics Achievement Among Secondary School Students

: Mathematics attainment has taken on a global focus for the furtherance of economic advancement, thus, magnetizing appraisal mathematical edification among school students. However, evidence suggests that mathematics anxiety is salient contributing factor obstructs success in mathematics. Drawing upon evidence, this investigation explores relationship between anxiety, performance and strategies students perceived could attenuate anxiety. Data from study was collected using mixed method approach survey interview forty-two Form One with different levels academic achievements one Alor Setar, Kedah, Malaysia. All participants demonstrated moderate level low displayed inverse strong performance. This indicates declines augmented The linear regression revealed all three factors emotion, assessment, environment are not statistically significant predictors achievement.
